the bathroom door didn’t stay shut or lock, the toilet seat was completely detached from the actual toilet, and the area around the hotel smelled kind of bad

We had a fantastic stay. The terrace room is very nice. The only feedback I would give is that the breakfast buffet is quite humble, which is fine however the bread options we are all stale - rock solid old bread.
Only one of the elevators was working so it was always a wait to go to our room. Otherwise everything was lovely and we really enjoyed it.

Had a fantastic three night stay at the Lamaro to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, the attention to detail of staff at the hotel made it really special and memorable for us.
View of the cathedral from our premium room was breathtaking.
Tapas on the rooftop bar was superb, as were the meals in the restaurant, and the buffet for breakfast was amazing.
Beautiful area around the hotel wandering the gothic streets and shops.
Won't be staying anywhere else if we go back to Barcelona...
