The next day our trip consisted of a 4 hour historic tour of the island and learning about the many battles between the French and British. Saint Lucia only gained independence 40 years ago and this year marks the anniversary of their independence from the French and British. While they are still part of the commonwealth they are finally their own country. #SaintLucia #IslandLife #Carribean #WestIndies #Island
