Tuscan Countryside Retreat

Fattoria di Corsignano was a great tuscan countryside retreat. Nice pool, quaint and quiet. On-site restaurant serving breakfast and dinner! The apartment was spacious with lots of windows to enjoy the beautiful scenery! I would recommend! Only 15 min drive to Siena!

Too rustic

The hotel was in the middle of beautiful Tuscan mountains but it was very rustic. Hot water never worked. Wifi didn’t work. Rooms were old and beds were not comfortable.

An Average Stay & Price but Mediocre Service

We arrived with no one at the reception at only 5 pm on a weekday. The accommodations were average in a converted farmhouse. The bath shower had no shelf to place soap or shampoo. The farm-to-table restaurant was very good in terms of quality of food, preparation and presentation--service was lacking (no personal rapport and I had to search for a waiter to obtain my check). When I asked for an earlier breakfast than 8:30 am since we had a full day of activities planned and it requires nearly 40 minutes to get to anywhere from the remote farmhouse, the owner was startled and hesitant to offer us breakfast at 7:30 am. I asked for the same by the office receptionist the next day who did not delivery not notify us. Would I stay here again? Probably not. Would I recommend it to others? Probably not.

Great stay. Great wine, olive oil, food, views, wine, staff, sound of the crickets, accommodation, wine, close to Sienna, easy drive to/from Florence, nice pool, etc. And don't forget the wine, that was great. I don't think I could have chosen a better place to spend a week in Tuscany. And the wine.

Country charm in Tuscany

Quiet and peaceful, this working vineyard farm and hotel comes with a wonderful restaurant. Several of the suites come with their own yard with a table and chairs to enjoy a glass of wine during sunset.

Peaceful little gem

Came and stayed with two of my girlfriends. The winery is so pretty and peaceful. Our little apartment was so cute and comfortable. The restaurant on property is fantastic. Wine tasting was fun and informative. We had hoped there would be more to do on the property then just the one wine tasting, maybe at a larger scale winery that is possible but we still really enjoyed the serenity and down time.

Perfect Tuscany experience

This country B&B is inside a working vineyard in the midst of Chianti country. It has magnificent views of the surrounding farms all the way to Siena. The drive into Siena is 15-20 minutes. The room we had was spacious and warm, with a small yard for sitting in the sun. We loved to stroll among the rows of grapevines and even hiked up a trail though an abandoned abbey and woods to the nearby olive farms and vineyards. The restaurant offered excellent local cuisine at a very good price. The hosts and staff were warm and friendly.

Great base for L'Eroica

We went to cycle in L'Eroica 2014, as other visitors there had. The hotel was near enough to Gaiole to be convenient, but quiet and beautifully placed. Reception were helpful in leaving instructions to cover our very late arrival from the airport; the country setting was great in having room to prepare our bikes and to go for a test ride on the nearby Strada Bianche. The evening meals, with wines from the vineyard, were good, both on the night before the event, and after. We'd love to come back to cycle on these roads and through the beautiful countryside, but perhaps without the other 5,000 people there for L'Eroica.

The best location in Tuscany....chianti region... The property is fantastic and the location is in corsignano....ten minute drive from Siena... The rooms are very well done and you can see Siena from your bedroom window... Lovely setting....nice wine....take the wine tasting tour...its nice... Food is awesome...no need to go anywhere...

Beautiful place, lovely people

We LOVED Fattoria di Corsignano. The grounds are beautiful and the room was spacious. The owners and staff were so lovely and helpful. They made our stay really enjoyable. The location is great if you want to relax in the quiet and beautiful countryside but not be too far from Siena when you do feel like a bit more atmosphere. The restaurant in the Fattoria is excellent and the neighbouring town of Vagliagli (which is 5 minutes away) has two of the best Italian restaurants I've even been to. So you have plenty of options for food even without going into Siena. I would highly recommend it.

An Enjoyable Stay!!

My husband and I went driving around for three weeks in Tuscany for our 10 year wedding aniversary. Four days of our trip included a stay at Fattoria di Corsignano and we wished we planned to be there longer. I am very picky about where I stay and this location had nothing to complain about. It was very clean and comfortable. The Owners Mario and Elena are very nice and pleasant people along with Christina, a staff member. They patiently answered all of our questions and all of their suggestions from where to visit to where to eat were great. We also got to have a wine tour of their facilities and have a homemade dinner their along with a wine tasting. It was more than worth it. Very informative and delicious! We look forward to staying there again one day. If Mario and Elena and Christina read this, we hope you are doing well....we miss corsignano!!
