"The "hotel" is actually a motel and the room pics on the web are AI generated and make the rooms look much larger than they are. While the room pics and external photos are misleading, the rooms are very clean and current, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms have been recently updated and are a good size (especially considering that the rooms are so small) and the staff was terrific. The location is fantastic, smack in the middle of Tahoe city just across the street from "Commons" Beach and only a short drive from Alpine Meadows and Pallisades @ Tahoe. The only real negative that I have is that they play music in the lobby well into the evening, and if your room is in the front of the "hotel" you can hear the music through the walls of the room. While I liked the music that they played, I would rather not have to hear it when I am trying to sleep. All things considered, I would definitely stay here again."

"We ended up going on a diff weekend due to storm blocking roads. Nice they allowed us to change despite policy. However few problems with our stay 1. Housekeeping. We asked for extra comforter / duvet as we had 4 guests in that each preferred own blanket. Multiple times had to re-ask as housekeeping kept taking them during cleaning and turndown. On top of this there were some shelves covered in thick layer of dust. Superficial job. 2. Food was OK. Manzanita was decent but lobby and taco place weren’t very good. 3. Main pool and hot tub closed for maint. Spa pool was open for use but was looking forward to hot tub. 4. Ski in / out not possible due to lack of snow — sometimes a ski Sherpa from Northstar would help drive down guests, but only if you had a lesson otherwise they’d fuss. So either hike down mountain with skis or take 2 gondolas."

"Great price on the room and breakfast included. The room was on the third floor, where we requested. There was an order in the halls. The room was clean. This is a no frills hotel. Temperature control was a problem in the room. The bed was very firm. We had our grandsons visit and we enjoyed bowling. This was geared towards families. Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. We would stay here again."

"Great location, newly renovated hot tubs and outdoor areas. Property is older but very well kept, great place to stay if you want to be on the mountain. Short walk to the village, or shuttle ride every 10 minutes during the day for skiers/boarders."
