"Nabitunich is a one of a kind property and staying here is an experience in itself. You are surrounded by nature on this family run farm. Seeing the toucans was a huge highlight for me. I learned a lot about the plants and trees on the farm during my tour with the owner Dominic. The little hill is perfect for watching the sunset. I ate dinner there each night. It’s good home cooking. Breakfast was also great. My room was very comfortable. All the staff were extremely welcoming, kind and helpful (thank you Daisy, Shelly & Leslie). The laundry service was excellent. On my last day I was leaving early and Daisy made my breakfast before the normal start time. felt looked after the whole time.
I took the shuttle from Flores to San Ignacio. The shuttle driver was happy to drop me off at the Gas station near the farm and Dominic picked me up from there. I didn’t have a car, but I had a great taxi driver, Eddie, who was recommended at the farm."
"Cahel Pech is a great affordable option in San Ignacio. The pool setup is a fun amenity and meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel was happy to set us up with tours and local drivers too. On a Saturday night, the local town partied loudly until 3am but I can't really fault the hotel for that. The room could be improved with a new mattress and pillows. The view of the town is super nice and there's even a local bunny that is super friendly! Staff is top notch."
"The entire property is incredible. From our visit to the farm, hikes through the rainforest, tubing and dining we had an incredible experience that we will never forget. "
"The property is beautiful, with well appointed rooms. The wait staff were very friendly but not attentive, probably given the 15% service charge added to all bills so they don’t need to work for their tips like they would have to in other places. Prices for food is expensive - this is likely due to location & the fact this is a nice hotel. It also doesn’t help that they price everything in USD which is at odds with most other places in Belize. If you don’t have your own vehicle, it is difficult to get to any other restaurants. Overall, would recommend based on the location & facilities"
"Fully stocked kitchen, they thought of all the little things. Host was friendly and showed us where everything was. There are only a few cabins/lodges on the property so it's quiet and peaceful. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off and getting some sun. We even made use of the full-size BBQ by the pool one night.
Lots to do in the area (hiking, waterfalls, Calico Jacks, cave tubing) and San Ignacio is only 40 mins away.
Note: you definitely need an SUV to get there (4x4 in wet season) - it is literally "off the beaten path". If you do any of the cave tours (ATM, Crystal cave) you'll have to meet the operator in town - suggest pickup at the Community Centre in Georgeville (shorter drive than San Ignacia and already part-way to the caves)"
