"This hotel checked a lot of boxes - close to the airport without being in the city, the villa we stayed in had a beautiful balcony overlooking the city, coffee and banana trees all around, with bird-watching/listening (saw a family of green parrots, too) first thing in the morning. The complimentary breakfast (choice of pancakes, huevos rancheros, traditional costa rican rice and beans) was small but adding coffee, juice, toast and sweet cornbread from the bread station made it sufficient. We had a rental car and were just barely able to park in the full parking lot. I highly recommend going out to eat at Restaurante El Mirador del Valle - a 3m drive or walk up the hill - which has an incredible view, a parking attendant, and was empty on Friday night before 8pm. The airport is a quick drive away depending on traffic. There is a very small playground, a short coffee trail, a small pool (which was just big enough for our small group), Britt espresso coffee pods and espresso machine in our villa. You can hear traffic from the nearby road at night, but it wasn't too disruptive. The staff was kind and helpful."
