Farmstay in Alajuela Province

"Wow this place was amazing. The room had a balcony that opened to a rain forest and every day you walk through it with chocolate trees, bananas and the resident sloth to get your breakfast. At breakfast you are met by the nicest people that help you work on your Spanish. The only neg is it is right on a main road so big trucks go by a lot, be mindful if this would bother your sleeping. We were fine... def stay here it is incredible"

"Wifi didn’t work we were stranded. The manager only activated to us his personal wifi in the morning at breakfast. The road leading up to the lodge is very tough. The manager offered to guide us but was veryyyyy expensive. Around 300 dollars for 2 days "

"Absolutely gorgeous place! We were in heaven there. It’s a beautiful lodge in a field of colorful flowers. And the location is wonderful—it’s in the adorable mountainous town of Upala, right by Sensoria and La Catedral, both of which I highly recommend (but farther some of the other hiking trails). The staff are kind and helpful with booking activities, and the dog who lives there, Canela, is super sweet. My recommendations for the owners are to provide extra blankets because it can get a...

"Love this place! A little out of the way, so it's quiet and lots of wildlife to see. Ernesto and Leslie are great hosts, and the staff is helpful. The food is wonderful too. "
