Vagabond Inn Bishop

Vagabond Inn Bishop

8/10 Good
"The room was clean and well stocked with amenities. We enjoyed the hit tub one night while we visited. The breakfast unfortunately was very underwhelming and we chose to eat at Denny's next door instead. My husband is diabetic and I'm on a low carb high protein diet and we avoid processed foods now that my husband is in cancer survivorship. It would have been nice to see a couple of options such as Greek yogurt and hard boiled eggs which would be easy Continental style foods. All of the packaged pastries and oatmeal packets, bagels/waffles/bread items just didn't work for us. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others."

10/10 Excellent
"Our second Holiday Inn Express stay in Bishop, CA. 9/28-10/2/26 four night base for daily E Sierra hiking, after four nights in Mammoth Lakes. Our King room was spacious, clean, with lots of well designed storage space, very comfortable bed, and plenty of room for stretching, yoga, etc. Staff—reception, housekeeping, breakfast, maintenance, management—were really friendly and helpful. Onsite free parking easy. Breakfast starts at 5:30AM, great if you want to get out early. Selection fairly typical and good quality. We supplement with our own fruit (berries, banana, etc) and cereal. Coffee is a cut above, with freshly ground beans for every cup—regular and decaf, available 24/7. Centrally located, 5-10 minute drive to most restaurants or takeout. Of note, Yamatani, a great Japanese restaurant, across the street. Mountain Rambler Brewery, Holy Smoke Texas Barbeque. So many great hikes within 30-60 min drive, with a wide range of distances, climbing, effort. Fall colors were popping!"
