Clean, refurbished, easy check-in, all good. A hidden gem.
The room was ok. An overwhelming scent of Fabulouso cleaner in the room. Unfortunately the floor behind the bathroom was really not clean at all. Beds were super comfortable, heater worked and it was dog friendly. Coffee shop was a few feet away, which was great.
Great safe place and the owner is a happy business man who cares about his property!

Liked: Cleanliness
The property is very small therefore the parking is a little cramped. But overall my stay was good, everything is clean and staff is friendly. Pet Friendly is a plus for me too.
Very clean and nicely updated room. The hotel staff was friendly and the location is very walkable to restaurants and shops.
I only had a few qualms. The bed was very squeaky. The room only had a semi-transparent shade- a blackout curtain/shade would have been more effective. Check-in required me to fill in a form by hand- although much of that info could have been transferred by Travelocity. Lastly, I checked in at night and it was very cold but I couldn't turn on the heater. In the morning, I discovered the A/C was unplugged.
Wow, this was an unassuming but excellent stay. The beds were comfortable and they only charge $10 per night for pets. Thank you for a restful night of sleep!
A nice little motel in the process of being update
The gentleman at the check in was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and they are in the process of updating them. Our room had more electrical outlets and usb plugs than any other motel we stayed in! Only issue was noise from unit above us due to hard floors ...noise carries easily.
The thunderbird is a work in progress. Will be fabulous when completed. The location is priceless. Off the main road. The room is super clean and large. The covers are way too heavy for summer but perfect for winter. Bath soap be nice. The shades are total blackout / perfect, every hotel should have them. Within walking to everything. Good stay.
After 5 days in the backcountry this was just what I needed. Comfy bed, (2 pillow options for softness). Had fridge and microwave which I didn't need or use but was nice to have for some folks. Soap in dispensers was great. No shampoos which was ok because I'd brought my own, but just need to know in advance. I had flown into Bishop airport so originally picked this motel for the free airport shuttle. I had a friend pick me up but needed a ride back to the airport which was supplied for me with no hassle and greatly appreciated. Since I didn't have a car it was also nice to have various food options within walking distance as the Main Street/ hwy 395 was just 1/2 block away.
