"We’ve stayed here numerous times due to vicinity to Hoover Finley Center. The hotel has recently been renovated. The lobby, rooms and bathrooms were completely updated. Was glad to have a new smart tv in the room for my teenagers. Staff was very nice. "

"My reservation was somehow cancelled, but not by me. My payment to Hotels.com was processed on 2/19/26 for a 2 night stay on 3/13 and 3/14. A week later my son was in the hospital in Anniston, AL on life support so I tried to cancel through Hotels.com while not being able to talk to a human. Their website told me they would attempt to contact the hotel to cancel and if the hotel didn’t charge them, they wouldn’t charge me. I received 2 emails over the next few days saying they had tried multiple times to contact the hotel but couldn’t, and so I would not be refunded. I called the hotel multiple times and was told they had no problem cancelling but they couldn’t canceling and not charging, but Hotels.com had to do that. I never cancelled the reservation. In the mean time, my son was transferred to UAB hospital in Birmingham which was where my reservation was for. I called to hotel and talked to the manager who told me that the reservation was cancelled by a lady in their sales department but they were now booked up for those nights. She offered that she could get me a room at another one of their sister properties but I’d have to pay for it and was going to be over $600. So it looks like this hotel and Hotel.com both got their $ from me and the hotel was able to double dip by booking my room on top of that. Unbelievable! "

"Not sure how this hotel got rated so high. Room was poorly renovated and in need of a deep clean. Bathroom counter was not clean. Outside security light shined in through the window as the drapes didnt overlap to prevent light from coming in. "

"Walked into our room and rat poop was on the bathroom counter. The towels were folded neatly but I was afraid to use them. No bath soap. I don't think it had been mopped. Beds were so bad my husband couldn't stand up this morning. I will never stay here again."
