This property was most likely THE spot back on the day. It’s nice and has a tropical resort feel but it’s feeling very dated. I was super disappointed that the hot tub was not working (no heat) - since it is directly connected to the pool it was cold. But, the room AC was good so we slept well. Having the kitchen area was nice too. Bathroom and toilet room were very small.

So glad we found this place as there isn’t much in Bundaberg. We only had one night there but loved it. This place is a gem. Just a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach. The little unit was lovely and I loved the jungle feel of the place. I wish we had one more night there as it’s very relaxing. The restaurant was extremely good. Just wish they had breakfast there.

Really friendly staff on reception despite it being busy. The pool was a comfortable temperature. Cars park under cover, safe from sun and hail. The villa was perfectly clean and welcoming. Very hard to keep the villa cool though.

Bed and lounge very comfortable. Has the basics you need in kitchen. Like the villa concept. Pool nice and clean . Nice quiet location short walk to beach.

What are the options….
The outstanding feature of this resort is its site. It can be brought back to glory with creative ideas, refreshed gardens and general tender loving care. Letting it slip away further will end up with a total redevelopment.

Great for families with pools for both the small kids and parents, close to all the amenties Bargara and Bundaberg have to offer. We will no doubt return there again with our two children.

Kellys Beach Resort was a great stay close to the beach and a short drive to Bundaberg we were able to see many different attractions around the area and Kelly’s helped with booking tours.

Kelly’s Beach is great for its location which is close to everything but the accommodation is extremely run down.

The current management are committed to continual improvement, and the resort has just been upgraded to 4 star based on our last inspection due to improvements made from the villa investors with new kitchens installed, new furniture and additional aircon/heating in the bedroom, new bathrooms are planned for this year with a builder being chosen and just waiting on a start date! As the villas are almost 35 years these improvements have been necessary and welcome and are a massive improvement from a few years ago! We will continue to make improvements based on investor expenditure to keep them as fresh as we can for our guests :)

Single beds in main bedroom, we were expecting a double. Up in the loft bedroom it was so hot and had to have the downstairs air-con cranked to get it cool.

Hi Kathy, we have looked into this and have seen that the king bed was split for previous guests, and an oversight from our contract cleaning company has meant that the bed has not been put back into a king prior to your arrival. Had we been made aware of this we would have rectified it for you. We are sincerely sorry and hope this did not impact your stay too much.

Bathroom smelt a bit and not very clean Kids loved the room with loft. Staff weren’t very helpful, when asked question the response was “ just google it “ The area is beautiful and a lovely place to visit.

Perfect for families and for visiting the Turtles
Kellys Beach Resort was a very fortuitous find, we are coming back to Bundaberg and would have definitely stayed here again but unfortunately it is fully booked. The villa's are large, the staff and facilties are great and the restaurant was fantastic. I can highly recommend this place for Families.

Great location, beautiful gardens and pool. Accomodation was disappointing bed very very uncomfortable, glasses and cutlery were dirty, no oven, the place needs serious maintenance and updating

We are sorry to hear you experienced issues throughout your stay with us - it is hard the beds in all our villas are brand new sealy posturepedic which were only installed in April this year so not very old at all - we all have our own comfort level on what we are used to so its a hard one to predict :( We will definitely pass on the feedback regarding the cleaning issues to our contract cleaning company to attention as well. Thanks again for choosing Kellys and so sorry once again

The Villa had everything we needed and was clean. The ants on the couch were unfortunate and annoying. But it was the water pressure that would make me rethink my next stay. The shower was little more than a drizzle..

Property was dated, showing signs of wear and tear but comfortable. The villa was well stocked with all the requirements and quite and close to beaches and shopping. A car would be needed to access both. The villa had a double bed, and loft accommodation via a ladder for children. A shower over bath, and minor maintence the only drawbacks.

It was an extremely cold few days and the air conditioner was not very effective as a heater. If the ceiling fan could have been reversed to force the warm air down from the unused upstairs bedroom a more comfortable and eco friendly stay would have been the result.

On check-in I was asked to present my Driver Licence, Credit Card and provide registration number of my car including my signature. Considering that these items contain full range of personal information required for verification of my identity, I felt very uncomfortable with this request. The air conditioner in the accommodation was not sufficient to warm the living and sleeping areas. It was very cold inside. The toilet/bathroom areas weren't very clean. The grounds of the resort are nice.

As your booking was made online this is something that is usually required not just here but any accommodation I have ever stayed at for security purposes and would have been mentioned on your terms and conditions of booking. Online reservations can be made by anyone so on checkin we need to confirm you are you and someone has not used your details etc. Credit card provided to cover any damages to the property that may occur which is understandable for any accommodation business, even you might not think of doing anything damaging unfortunately we live in a world where others do not share the same values. We truly apologise you had an uncomfortable stay - but you will find almost all accommodation places will ask for the same identification requirements.
