The room was mostly great. The property was beautiful. We stayed in the "green room" it really could have used a microwave, and a light in the coffee nook. Loved the bath soaps, and lotions.

I’ve been to Buena Vista many times. It is a beautiful valley containing the Collegiate peaks and Arkansas river. I’ve always admired the Surf Hotel and Château and wanted to stay there. The facility and atmosphere did not disappoint. Thursday night was highlighted by an excellent bluegrass band, great drinks and a first class atmosphere. Friday night we enjoyed an excellent dinner at the hotel restaurant. I highly recommend this Surf Hotel and Chateau to anyone wanting a mountain getaway.

The heater in our room didn't work and neither did the fan. The gas fireplace smelled like natural gas when it was running.

Very nice cottage. Love the lobby and it's eclectic look. Had some trouble with internet going in and out and made it hard to watch tv. Also coffee Nespresso machine didn't work well. It wouldn't stop at the level of cup you press. Next to all that it was a beautiful hotel. Would love to come in summer.

Very unique hotel on the river very beautiful but be careful if they put you in the Chateaux it is in a separate building with industrial stairs and not as nice rooms

Beautiful view from the NOLA room. The bar was right under us but can’t even hear anything from it. The parking is first come first serve basis on the streets. Restaurant is good, but had to order to go because the floor gets packed fast so plan ahead or if you have kids, order early. The room was gorgeous overlooking the river and the mountains, the bath has an oversized cat’s claw bathtub that is a must soak after a long drive. Over all our stay was awesome!

This lovely hotel sits directly on the Arkansas River. It is quiet, clean and conveniently located on great local hiking trails. The hotel restaurant is also excellent.

Comfortable room, amazing location. Mountains on one side, river on the other side, hiking trails accessible from the hotel. The restaurant on the property had a great brunch. Did I mention the amazing location?

No elevator to second floor chateau room. Absolutely the plainest, most sparcely decorated room I have EVER seen. Not even a place to hang our coats and clothes. Really? How inconvenient for such a pricey room.

No regular coffee in the room or the lobby. Only expresso in the room. Also, very limited parking. Beautiful views and great location with walking path next to the water. Restaurant was convenient and the staff was excellent. The food was very good.

We will be back!
We have stayed here before but there always seemed to some rough edges to the stays but many of those have been addressed making the stay really enjoyable. If there was a concern some of their policy seem to be inconsistent.

Would’ve been nice to know there is major construction going on two feet from your cottage starting at 7:30 am, and on Saturday and Sunday . From what we could tell, this be going on for the next 12 months Walls and windows provided no relief from outside noise or neighbors partying until 2 am. You could hear their exact conversations, that’s how thin the walls are

We stayed only one night here but it was so beautiful and the rooms were very clean and nice. Bathroom was very nice and clean. Wish we could have stayed a couple more nights.
