Visit Bude and relax on one of the town’s beautiful beaches. Grab a board and go surfing or try other water and beach sports. Cycle through the surrounding countryside or take a relaxing walk instead. See the local artisans and try a wide variety of crafts.

Bude’s stunning sands and rolling surf make it one of the best beach towns in Cornwall. See picturesque fishing boats at the expansive the central Bude Beach, known as Summerleaze Beach. Relax with your family in the Bude Sea Pool and enjoy water sports on the ocean. Sign up for a lesson with a local surf school or try kayaking, sea fishing and climbing. Visit one of the arts and crafts centers and purchase a souvenir. Participate in a range of fun workshops. Learn bone carving, create artworks from glass or make your own ceramic kitchenware. Shop at the independent boutiques and eat lunch at one of the town’s cafés.

Find one of the numerous historic towns and villages outside of Bude. By car it’s 11 miles (17.7 kilometers) south to Crackington HavenOpens in a new window. Head to this quaint coastal village and relax in the tea rooms or pub or head into the countryside to spot wildlife and wild flowers. Morwenstow is about 12 miles (19 kilometers) north of Bude. See heritage attractions and watch the sun set from the cliffs. Keep a look out and maybe even spot a seal or two.

Bude has no train station, but reach it easily by car, coach or cab. Select from many options for accommodations. Stay at a luxury hotel with a sea view or in a self-catering cottage.
