We were told the property was unavailable, which was untrue. We were offered an alternative of a 3-bed property which supposedly had 6 double beds. 「It was all very good, we asked for a chair for the room and got one straight away. Towels were changed every day and it was all very clean. All staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, plenty to eat, all served fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront Inn, the only thing I will mention is that we thought we were staying in Bideford, not realising the Hotel was in Westward Ho but it wasn't a problem.」

「This was a beautiful property. The surrounding area was picturebook. We had a very good meal and a good, comfortable sleep. My only issue is the roads were very difficult getting there, so I could not recommend to a tourist with no experience with the narrow roads and remote location.」

「The Sailors Rest is in a good location within Appledore,close to the main car park. The room was clean, as was the communal access. The view from Room 3 was excellent. A shaver point and shelf in the bathroom would be really helpful, but other than that everything was fine.」

「Fabulous hosts, couldn't do enough for us and our family of little dogs, very welcoming and homely. Excellent breakfast and great value for money. Breakfast room is delightful, along with the choice of food. Clean and tidy rooms, very spacious and comfortable 'huge' beds and fluffy warm duvets. The walled terrace area is excellent for outside dog security with lovely views and peaceful surroundings. Packed lunches were made available for us at short notice and were excellent value for money...
