"Everything about Boscastle House is just right.
The house is spotless with much attention to detail.
Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and served in a very pleasant dining room by Dawn.
We highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again."
"Beautiful hotels with clean rooms & the bartenders and servers were all wonderful, but the Polish guy at the front was useless.
We needed a taxi, & he just gave us cards to call. We couldn’t call from our American phones, so he allowed us to use the front desk phone. Any other place would arrange that for you, not “I don’t know. Here are some cards. Good luck.” Your guests are foreign. A hotel doesn’t just abandon the guests with “Good luck”. Only garbage hotels do that. This was a very nice hotel with beautiful scenery.
The front desk doesn’t open until 8:30 am, but we had to leave at 7 am… so we ended up opening the doors ourselves, & because we cannot lock from the outside, we had to leave the doors open to get out of the lobby to our taxi to make our flight.
Because you cannot get an Uber or taxi, you have to plan ahead. This is something that needs to be shared.
In order to dial out, you have to use 011 (if you’re USA) 44 (country code for the U.K.) and then the British phone number WITHOUT the first 0 at the beginning of the area code (many just give the number without the 0. Area code is four numbers, I think). I had to figure this out from Google. How sad!

Bodwin has no public transport.
The 21 year old bartender let us use his phone, too. He was great. The servers in the dining room were fantastic. The lady bartender at night was amazing. Other than the service, it was a very nice experience."
"This was a very average b&b. Tintagial is not a great place to visit. There are only foundation stones of the castle left, so not much to see. Also, it costs 25 pounds per person to see the stones up clise. I would give the whole town a miss"
"Another lovely stay at this very friendly, comfortable Inn. Great food, good location on the main street in Tintagel. Really comfortable room with powerful shower. Will always return here if staying in Tintagel again."
"Spent three nights - breakfasts excellent. Dinners good. Brilliant base for exploring the North coast. Great walking area. Parking - right outside the hotel. Bar Quiz Night great fun on a Monday night."
"I really enjoyed staying in this peaceful cottage, this is the second time I have stayed here. I slept very well in the comfy four poster bed and it's lovely not being troubled by light pollution. The coastal path is very close, and also a beautiful walk through the wooded valley to the waterfall. I had the option of using the log burner but found the cottage was cosy enough. There is lots to see and do in the area, but I chose to walk from the cottage every day, sketchbook in hand. I hope to return. "
