"I liked the fact that the owners obliged and let me into my room an hour earlier. The room was humble but clean and had a coffee pot and coffee and the condiments that accompany it. My only concern was having to on a few occasions try to get my cable hooked up or turned on for my room. There was no remove or the box for it. When they did finally install it I was unable to access cable or utube. I decided it was getting late and was not going to further bother them again. I would go back but I would want to see the room and make sure the tv was hooked up and ready to go. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Just feel they should have an employee more readily available at the counter and more available to answer phone calls."

"Our room was renovated, so that was nice. A very lovely view of the water! And a nice area to take the dog. A few minor things like broken screens (so we couldn't open the windows), loud bathroom fan, and broken picnic table in the yard made it look a bit rough. The person at the desk when we checked in kept yelling at the staff. He seemed unhappy."

"Clean room, comfy beds. Good amount of space. Only downfall was the coffee machine was tiny and the pot handle wasn’t situated on the pot properly. There were no facecloths in the bathroom and the shower refused to give hot water, despite leaving it running for over 5 minutes!"

"Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable canoe rentals, beautiful lawn and playground for the kids, and the hosts are so nice, great at communication! This is our second year visiting and we WILL be back!"
