「Very clean, there was a microwave and toaster in our room. The only thing that wasn’t very good is the lock on our door , not very secure .」

「I had been to the Black Lion three years before visiting the area my kin folks left in 1838 to come to Ohio. The accommodations and the meals were great. We went to the Welsh Library in Aberystwyth and hit the mother load of information of our ancestors in Lampter and Betws Bledrws.」

「The view is absolutely beautiful. The overall hygiene was ok, with a small bit of stain on the sheet remaining. However, there was one used instant coffee packaging left, probably due to carelessness of cleaning staff. The worst issue was that the shower was completely not working but the hotel gave us this room knowing that there was a electrical failure for the shower. Although the staff was really polite when we raised this issue in the morning, it does not erase the disappointment at night....

「The location and venue were excellent. The staff and food were brilliant... BUT, the wifi and TV in our room didn't work and the staff seemed to be unable to help based on technical reasons. Otherwise a great stay!!!」

「Practical place to stay, on the promenade. Friendly staff, dogs welcome. Clean, good bed and shower. If you go there at the weekend the parking spaces are free on the promenade for 4 hours ( Monday to Saturday, 8am-6pm).」

「There was no car park and the parking we did find was expensive and inconvenient. The lift wasn't working for most of our stay and when it did work my wife and I both got trapped in it on separate occasions. It was also rather small. The pillows were passed their usefulness date. There was no bar or restaurant It was hard work to get up the stairs to our rooms especially with luggage」

「Received a warm welcome when we arrived and were directed to our room. We stayed in one of the Suites which are in a separate building from the pub, with outside steps leading down to the pub. The car can be taken up a steep slope where there is dedicated parking for each Suite room. We enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast each morning, which was consistently delicious for the 3 days of our stay. Pre-booking is advisable for evening meals, and these were always lovely. Our Suite room was huge...

「Safe, clean, quiet, and cosy. A quaint walk from the train station. My only issue is that I found the room to be quite cold with no way to adjust the temperature myself. There is no staff on the property, so not an easy fix. 」
