「The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. 「2nd stay at Eyre Court... room was excellent, staff were lovey and friendly and breakfast was plentiful, fresh, delicious and all you expect of a breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and we really enjoyed our 2nd stay.. Only down point is the parking is limited.. My sister walks slow and with a stick and people who are just using the pub use the parking. I personally think you should have allocated parking if you are staying in the Eyre court. 」

「Parking was right outside but you have to pay. Slow service for check in and the man already waiting for assistance said he’d been there 10 minutes! We couldn’t even get a bowl of chips from the restaurant and were made to feel bad because we didn’t prebook. Plus 8pm was the time you could get a meal which is very late for many. The room smelt musty, bathroom fan didn’t work, no fridge, loo roll almost out etc」

「We liked everything. Fiona and Steve are delightful and friendly hosts. This old building is full of character and is beautifully decorated. Our en-suite room had a very comfortable bed and lovely views of the village. Their breakfasts were amazing which a five star hotel would have trouble matching. On-street parking was readily available in a nearby residential road during our stay. We were happy to leave our car there. If we are back again in this part of Devon/Dorset we wouldn’t dream of...

「I had a lovely room, I was surprised breakfast wasn’t included/offered. Staff were friendly but I couldn’t get internet which may have been just me. I was on my own and wanted to plan my next day, couldn’t even get 4G. Not even in the bar. Young lady said it was a bad area??!! Plenty parking and lots of people eating so food must be good. I just had (a very small) portion of chips. 」
