「This charming traditional hotel was clean, comfortable and in an excellent location, only 3 mins walk to the seafront. Our room was spacious and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. 「Booked this hotel as an overnight stop for its convenient location. However, it exceeded all our expectations Clean and quiet, helpful staff and the room was spacious and calm. 「Fabulous house bang in the middle of Axminster. Lived in Axminster for 6 years and knew where this was but not realised the size of the house. Back for the weekend to see friends, etc. This is an exquisite properly. Amazing room and cosy guest lounge so you don’t have to sit on the bed in the room. Great breakfast. Will definitely return 」

「We had stayed here before and were disappointed earlier this year, when we were informed that the hotel was permanently closed. We were therefore delighted when we received an email from Richardson Hotels, offering accommodation there again. We booked a week in early July and weren't disappointed. Yes, the fabric of the hotel needs some attention but our room was clean and comfortable and benefitted from a bay window with a sea view. 「Great Hotel in superb location right in the middle of Lyme Regis. We were initially worried about parking, but on the day that we stayed there were plenty of places to park at the hotel and the car booking in system straightforward. We ate an evening meal in the hotel restaurant - typical pub fare but a few things were unavailable. Staff levels slightly low. Breakfast was really good, the staff very attentive and managed to customise my breakfast exactly as I wanted. 」
