「Nicole was great greeting me and providing information. The breakfast was excellent. I rated good on the room due to there being a slight odor. Not sure if from smoking. The beds, however, were as comfortable as a much more expensive hotel. I had a great night sleep and that was most important.」

「Hotel was exceptionally comfortable. Bed was great, air conditioning functioned flawlessly for the two days I was there and each day experienced mid 90° temperature. The outdoor pool was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was also exceptional. Hot fare included scrambled eggs, sausage patties one day and links the next. Waffles and toast were also available. For the price, it was hard to beat.」

「Three Trails is ideally located in downtown Elkin. It, however, is located next to an active railroad line and trains do sound their horns early in the mornings and sometimes at night. Three Trails is also on the corner of the main street junction of the city. Therefore, there is street noise. Three Trails would be much improved, and more comfortable for guests, if sound proofing glass is installed in the windows. 「This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property’s condition was unacceptable. After checking in, I immediately found the room was not acceptable and left within minutes. The hotel acknowledged the issue and told me they would refund the full charge. They even issued a credit to my credit card, but then reversed it without explanation. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the matter directly, I was unable to get the promised refund. I ultimately had to dispute the charge...
