Setting lovely, wasn’t able to eat outside but wish we could have. If we are in the area again we will definitely book. Room super, only prob we had heating on high but sorted that."

"We have lodged at numerous hotels in the area. The Ragged Cot beats them all…Excellent staff, excellent location, excellent food.(especially the free breakfast).Excellent value. Nice warm room. Safe free parking. Good free WiFi. The restaurant menu is excellent. However, I would recommend that the management consider adding a “lighter bites” menu…The portions on the main menu are large! Well done to all the staff. "

"This hotel is a pub with rooms above. It is a period building so has it's quirks but that adds to it's charm. Our room was spacious & bathroom was very clean. Other furnishings a little tired & electrics need updating as extension leads with multiple sockets pose a safety issue. Food was excellent & staff were amazing. Definitely would stay again as in a great location in town. "

"Stayed here first time accomodation separate to main building, Room spacious, lovely decor, has everything you need even ironing board, Comfortable bed, great shower, very comfortable peaceful stay in.the centre of Witney town. Breakfast excellent. The Blue Boar has a resturant & Bar with a great ambience. Will definately be back "

"The hotel was under exterior reinnervation so parking was not available, Parking in long stay carpark which had to be paid for, in room 2 radiator would not work"

"Clean, very nice room. On a busy roundabout so can be noisy with traffic. Bar menu not up to date - 2 drinks they didn’t have on offer. Very good breakfast "

"Roy was the manager on duty when we checked in and out. He helped carry one of our suitcases to our suite! He was awesome and helped out with some local areas to dine and visit. The suite was excellent, slippers and a robe waited our arrival, along with coffee, hot chocolate, tea and milk. Was very clean and a comfortable kind size bed. We loved it."

"Property has been decorated to a very high standard. Car park easy to find and access. Very central location. Easy access despite no front desk, just a code emailed to access the car park and room. Higher numbered rooms are quite a walk up a lot of stairs though. Would pay a bit more for a lower floor next time. Called to ask if we could leave the car on the Carpark a little later than midday, and they were happy to help as the rooms weren’t at full occupancy the next night. "
