This is a historical hotel so it had its querks but we wouldn't want it any other way to experience historical Boston! Close to the North End, close to public transportation, easy to walk the freedom trail! We will be back!

The Bostonian has one of the best hotel locations in the city, particularly its proximity to the Italian North End. You can walk to Hanover Street in 5 minutes - and very safely in my experience - to enjoy all the delights of Daily Catch, Mike's Pastry and other amazing eateries. The rooms are a bit 'tired" although very clean and the shower in my bathroom was gorgeous. Staff are super friendly and helpful.

Property is well located. Nice bar and restaurant on premises. Room was decent. Staff friendly. They had a problem with water heater while we were there. Shower leaked water to floor. An electrical outlet in bathroom didn't work. We did receive a room dscount for above issues that I did not ask for.

There was no refrigerator in the room or bottles of water. We had to go out to get them at a close by 7-11. We only had 3 pillows on the bed. Had to call twice to request another pillow. There was construction happening in room nearby that woke us up early. Location was great.
