"There was some sort of daily service but the room wasn't vacuumed and towels not changed for the entiredurationof our stay. It seemd the room attendant would just empty bins and tidy up the room.
Water bottle was replenished only on the second day, however there always was a jug with water in the corridor so it wasn't a problem for us.

"I love Kandersteg and the Victoria Hotel is the PERFECT place to stay here, with affordable prices, great breakfast and right in the center close to everything. This was the second time I've stayed there and will be back again. The only reason I marked a 4 in some areas is because the hotel is definitely "old" and could use some simple updating in the rooms to make them more comfortable (worn carpets, old furniture/fixtures, etc). But for me, I do not have fancy tastes so I enjoyed my stay. "

"Very much a vintage hotel experience. I had an excellent mountain view, which I was able to enjoy from bed every morning. The cleaning crew were efficient and very good. The staff was very helpful with planning alternative hikes. I chose to walk the 800m from the train station, which for me was very doable. However, I am very fit and this may not be an option for everyone. The breakfast buffet was very good. I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Nico's, which was excellent. It was my best dining experience in Kandersteg and during my stay in Switzerland. The spa was small, but clean and very relaxing. I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely re-visit if I come back to Switzerland. "
