"Property was in a lovely countryside setting a short walk from Dunham Massey with a very good pub next door. The garden room was a comfortable ‘home from home’ and a relaxing space after countryside and National Trust property walks. Staff (particularly David) couldn’t do enough to help us enjoy the experience which we found absolutely first class. Breakfast was brilliant and we couldn’t ask any more from our stay at Ash Farm. "This was my third stay at the Ascott and I will keep coming back whenever I visit my family in Manchester. As an American I very much appreciate the things that make it different from the big hotel chains. It is quiet, it is personal, it is comfortable and to me “very British” which is a good thing. "We had a very lovely stay here whilst we were in town for a wedding. I feel that the owners went out of their way to make our stay more comfortable and easier. Breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable!"

"On checking in we were not told that there would be no housekeeping on Saturday or Sunday. We had tiny bottles of toiletries between two for 4 days. Tea/ coffee service was there but the cups were not changed every day and we ran out of supplies. And bed was not made Really bad value I’m afraid. "
