The Hamilton - Lakefront & Studio Suites, Hot Springs
10/10 Excellent
"This place is absolutely amazing and so so clean! I come back many times during the year for many occasions. The balcony’s overlooking the lake are perfect for late nights star gazing and sunsets. The rooms are amazingly clean. It’s the perfect place to stay."
"We liked that it was pet friendly. We liked the continental breakfast. The pool had broken chairs and the life preserver ring had mold on it. The grounds were not very well maintained. We liked having a microwave and fridge. But there were large roaches in the room that scared our mom and father (and us). We spoke to someone up front (an older gentleman) who said that the roaches were hard to keep out of the rooms because they come from the woods. I took pictures of the bugs. Would not stay at this establishment again."
"The hotel was dated which is its main charm. However the carpet in our room was so dated you could see where it was wearing so thin it was beginning to split. The furniture and bedding was good. But the bathroom was neglected and in desperate need of attention. The toilet sat unlevel. So when you sat on it you were afraid you would fall through the floor. The grout around the tub had signs of mold. I understand that they have been renovating for quite a while so why are we not offering the renovated rooms? I love the charm of stepping back in time but only when it is maintained. Shame on whomever allowed this grand hotel to be neglected for so long."
"It was almost "just right".
I wish there was a small shelf in the room by the bed, a place for the remote or reading glasses. The instructions weren't very clear about what to do with the room key (place them in the box by the pool-what pool). Also the bathtub is slippery when wet.
Good location, close to everything but also not the nice part of town at all."
"We really enjoyed our stay. It was very quiet. There was plenty of room to move around. It felt more like an apartment. We are looking forward to staying here the next time we are in Hot Springs. There is a cute café next door for a hearty breakfast before you start your day."
