「The hotel is clean and comfortable, but not being able to speak Russian was a problem at reception and throughout my stay. Meal sare not included, but available to buy from the pleasant in-house cafe.」

「The staff and location were great. There was a stream and cafe nearby, so it was perfect for a walk or a coffee break while soaking up the negative ions. There was a shopping mall and restaurants within a 10-minute walk, so it was convenient for shopping and eating. There is no elevator, so it may be difficult if you have a lot of suitcases.」

「A comfortable enough stay for those not spending a lot of time in the hotel and don’t have special needs. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms are a good size with a modern bathroom. Two issues that unfortunately will mean I would not book again - the wifi will not hold up for business calls and the vegetarian options are very limited compared to other hotels I have stayed in in Almaty. If neither is important to you than this is a decent hotel pick! 」

「The hotel is nice overall — good bed, solid infrastructure and a beautiful building, although a bit old. For skiing, it’s a convenient option, located about 15 minutes from the slopes, and the free parking is a plus. However, the friendliness and courtesy of the staff are quite low, so don’t expect warm service. Still, it’s a decent stay and works well if your main goal is skiing.」
