"This property is hidden down an alley near a residential neighborhood and steps from lively Wangfungin pedestrian street offering high end shopping, street entertainment and metro, with Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City easy walking distance. Location is superb. There are massive hotel brands nearby but this felt cozy. Fang Fang, the consistently smiling host, and front desk work hard to accommodate non Chinese speaking guests and can assist with any plans including Great Wall and Tiananmen Square access last minute. Breakfast leaned towards authentic chinese fare and delicious. Cats in courtyard and free tea and coffee make this a memorable stay."

"Very centralized in an area walkable to shops, food & importantly the forbidden city. Eric the hotel staff was so helpful to direct us to great shopping for jade & local food spots. Also to order room service when we arrived late. He spoke great English & really took the time to help us out on each occasion."

"The staff was very helpful especially the front desk personels. They were always glad to entertain my questions. Overall the hotel was very clean. It was also very centrally located and very accessible to the subway and to the main attraction. IT was so close to the wangfujing pedestrian street that strolling during the evening was well worth it. The street lighted up and was very festive. I would highly recommend the hotel to all travellers without a doubt."

"The room felt more like a serviced apartment than a regular hotel room. It had a full kitchen and a large bathroom with the toilet and washbasin in the same room. There were two air conditioners, but both were located around the kitchen area. Because of that, it was actually quite difficult for the cool air to reach the bedroom properly. Another issue was that almost everything was in Chinese, including the washing machine, air conditioner control panel and even the bathroom exhaust remote. It was difficult for us to figure out how to use some of these things. The washing machine was a washer-dryer combo, which was convenient, but our clothes came out very wrinkled after drying. There was also a funny misunderstanding when we asked the front desk for an ironing box. They sent us a locker/safe box instead! Later I connected with the concierge manager, Zhou, who spoke English and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. Since we had to leave very early the next morning, Zhou arranged packed breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. The breakfast area was large and had an excellent selection of both Western and Chinese food. They also served dinner in the same restaurant, and there was a separate bar, which was a nice addition. Overall, there were a few things with the room that could have been better, but the service from Zhou made a big difference for us. Thank you, Zhou, for all your help."
