"We had an excellent experience for 3 nights at Rydges Australian Square. We were given early check-in after enduring 3 flights (17 hours) and very long travel from home. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the bed was truly comfortable, and though small, the room was quiet, well-appointed and very clean, and the included breakfast was lavish. The downtown location was perfect: within easy walking distance to many of Sydney's best attractions (Royal Botanic Gardens, Art Gallery, Opera House, Circular Quay, Darling Harbor, Sydney Harbor Bridge, The Rocks, several museums, good restaurants, and public transportation). A great time, overall. "

"Excellent Stay at the Paradox despite the change from Radisson Blue. Staff and premises are fantastic, exactly as before. Pool and Health Suite facilities are perfect after a long flight. Hotel is a less than a 10 minute walk Wynyard from Circular Quay making perfect for transport options."

"It was my 30th bday and we had just gotten engaged and they gave us a free bottle of champagne to celebrate! They helped with bags, they really were just so nice and friendly and the room was gorgeous! "

"I had the most wonderful stay at the Shangri-La Sydney. From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding – every staff member I encountered, from valet parking to the concierge, was warm, attentive, and genuinely obliging. The room was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the Opera House. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the space spotless, and every detail thoughtfully prepared to make the stay as relaxing as possible. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing – such a variety of delicious options, beautifully presented. It’s rare to find a hotel that combines luxury, comfort, and such exceptional service so seamlessly. I truly loved every moment of my stay and can’t wait to return. "Many wonderful things: amazing location, seems to be in the middle of everything whether for work or play; warm and welcoming staff (umbrellas for guests to borrow at the door); huge quiet bedroom even though I had a low level room facing the street; consistently fantastic breakfasts (at the buffet and room service); wonderful bathroom set up with soak tub; best hotel gym I have visited (and I have visited several); top notch laundry service. There were some surprising aspects to my stay: inconsistent dinners through room service (the same dish could be amazing one night and meh the next); my room, although spacious and quiet, was a bit tired and worn and could have used a little love; one feature of my room didn't work and it took several calls to get the problem fixed timely. The staff also don't do a great job at cross selling their services. I tried to buy gift certificates at the front desk, was told they did not sell them, only to be told later by reservations that they did sell them. I was not told about the hotel spa and there was no information about on the in-room tablet I used to order room service. Regardless, overall it was a highly comfortable and enjoyable extended stay and I wholly recommend it. "
