AC/heat was fine, facilities kelp clean. Carpets are approaching needing replacement. Poor lady that cooks the breakfast struggled to keep up with the guests' consumption. Breakfast offerings was fine just ran out during the breakfast time interval. Overall, acceptable service for that price range - not a 5 star hotel but not a 5 star price.

I decided to book a room at the Super 8 / Port Arthur after losing power in Houston. Check in wasn't an issue and I was in my room in no time. Plenty of restaurants within driving/walking distance. The only complaint with the property was that the walls were thin and other guest got a little loud after sundown.

I have stayed her a few times for 4-5 days at a time for work. Management and front desk has always been great on checking me in and out and any questions or taking care of issues I had. This last time I brought my teen age daughter with me and everything went smoothly.

I was checked into an already occupied room when i returned to the front desk to let them know they made me wait while they argued with the cleaning lady then hinted that I would have to wait till the room was clean I had to tell them either check me into a different room or give me a refund to which magically got me checked into a new clean room

The room smelled like mold really bad and the breakfast was seriously lacking. We were put in the handicap room, and we are not handicap, so the the shower head was so low I basically had to do a back bend to rinse my hair. My flight was canceled the night we were supposed to get there so we paid for a night we werent even there. They were not reachable when we tried calling to inform them that we werent going to be able to check in the night we had planned. We called 20+ times hoping maybe we could get a refund for that first night, the phone was "unavailabe". Turns out the phone was put on some kind of setting, like do not disturb so no calls were going through....thankfully i prepaid so they couldnt give my room away.

Plus the bathroom was extra big and i liked not having the shower and the bathroom sink in same room, that made it nice cuz you didnt have to wait for the other person to get finished in the bathroom.
