We had a short notice booking for Christmas to see family. Brett (GM of the location I believe) graciously assisted us with a flexible check out time, spoke highly of his staff, and overall helped us have a comfortable holiday break amid the chaos of long travel. The king suite was well made and cleaned. Be wary if you have large suitcases for long stays - but for our single night stay it was perfect. Though cautious considering some other reviews, it is evident the manager is passionate about their upcoming rennovations. I remember staying here as a kid and it's definitely improved. Main staircase had a Christmas tree in the lofted area that we got a kick out of. If you see this Brett, thank you!

Super outdated rooms, dirty. Mold in hallway carpet. Back doors do not lock, safety was an issue. My room smelled strongly of an armpit. I stayed before and thought I would give it another shot, nope. Off my list. The further down the room is, the worse it gets.

Tv remote was missing and staff didn't know how to connect the one the brought so we had to figure it out. Our view was of garbage.. they claimed they were starting a renovation 2 days after our stay. Non smoking room but still smelled of stale cigarettes. Heard gunshots at astound 830pm outside. Yikes

I was told via text at 10:45 pm at night as I was 5 minutes away from the hotel “The hotel booking platforms are over booking us. We are actually full at this time. Quality Inn in Brainerd or AmericInn Inn in Little Falls might have rooms. Sorry for the mix-up” and was left without a place to stay for the night. I had prepaid for the room and have not received refund information at this time. I had called twice in the days proceeding the check in date to follow up and inquire about adding an early check in but only got voicemail and never received a call following up. As I called twice in the days proceeding I find it hard to believe that they were unaware of my check in and if they were aware of double bookings at that time they did not contact me upon realizing this issue through any means to let me know. I am very frustrated by this experience and the lack of professionalism in telling me via text late at night that I would not be able to stay in the room I paid for and inquired about multiple times.

Tv only had 5 channels that worked. Toilet wasn’t functioning properly. Room was small. Window leaked water. Hallways snd stairs were filthy. Very unclean indoors.

The tv in the room didn’t work. We were woken up by another guest trying to get into our room. We were then woken up about an hour after that by someone else trying to get into our room. My husband went down to get a ‘do not disturb sign’ and discovered that the first disturbance had been another guest assigned to our room, the second was a staff member trying to see if the room was occupied. Despite our being assigned to the room, it wasn’t recorded in the system so they attempted to put someone else in the room. I’ve never experienced this before - it was very disruptive and wrecked my night sleep. They have a flat grassy area just outside which is great if you are travelling with pets.
