"The front desk attendant let someone into my room using the master key at 4:45AM. Around 15 minutes prior to the incident my girlfriend and I awoke to a noise which she thought was someone trying to get into our room. I told her it was just someone walking past, since you can hear literally everything out there. At the time of the incident, we heard the noise again, this time fully hearing the door open. I jumped out of bed to respond, and was greeted by another guest entering and asking why I was in her room. After a moment of confusion, she realized she had the wrong room and left. I called the front desk about the incident and was assured “you have nothing to worry about, that was me.” And had to inform her that it was in fact a problem that she granted another guest entrance to my room at 4:45 in the morning. Apparently the guest had thought she was locked out of her room (since she was using her key on the wrong door) and rather than check for ID the front desk attendant decided to simply waltz up to my room with the master key and let the confused woman into my room on her word alone. On top of that the cleanliness of the rooms is poor, and the hotel was under renovation - not an issue but the contractors had tools strewn about to include rusty staples and none of the construction was in any way cordoned off from the public so careful bringing your kids here."

"The motel is in a good location and the staff were accommodating. The rooms were worn and didn’t feel the cleanest. I was there for a day so I didn’t make a fuss but I wouldn’t highly recommend."

"Breakfast just ok. The room was big with full refrigerator and microwave but the couch was very uncomfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was good size , the worst part was that the very noisy fan is connected to the light and you can’t shut it off unless you are turning off the light. They had a coffee maker with pods but it did not work. "

"Customers service was excellent, there are some areas that need some updates but all around a great hotel to stay with family. Extra points for having the outdoor pool heated. "

"I searched diligently trying to find a reasonably priced hotel close to the beach, with good reviews, short walking distance to good coffee shops and restaurants, in a safe area, and was exceptionally fortunate to stumble upon the Leucadia Beach Inn! The staff was very helpful with my late check-in, very accommodating with my parking spot, and the room was very comfy and clean. I will be sure to book another stay soon on my next trip to San Diego!"
