View and ease of getting to beach is outstanding. Staff was very nice and the room was clean and tidy. A bit noisy with tourist traffic and trains; while neither of those issues has any way to be controlled, the trains offer a nice, nostalgic feel.

This was a great place to stay near Moonlight Beach. It's not fancy...but the rooms are big and clean and nice. Close to all the good things...the check-in was friendly and easy. There were beach toys and chairs etc to be used. We loved it.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds, kitchen, small dinning table, partial view of the ocean. We loved this place. Noisy at night due to surrounding clubs, restaurants, but we didn't mind. We slept well & the location is a few minutes walk to the beach. The price is reasonable for the area.We will be back for sure.

This location has an excellent view of the ocean. Property was super clean and staff was very friendly and helpful with information about the area. We really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. The location is very close to nice morning walks. We were very impressed with the room and all the amenities available. We definitely recommend this location and we are looking forward to returning in the near future. Thank you to the staff, and everyone for a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend this location, excellent view, close to the beach, and nearby are great places to eat and shop.

Moonlight Beach Motel is a delightful, quaint, beach motel, only a 5 minute walk to beautiful Moonlight Beach. And also only minutes to wonderful restaurants and coffee shops. And if you are visiting Scripps Encinitas, it is less than a 10 minute drive. We loved our view of the ocean from our patio. The kitchenette in the room was so convenient, and the room was clean and comfortable. Staff at the desk ( not 24 hours) were very friendly and helpful. Beach necessities are provided as well. Would definitely come back to enjoy this updated vintage motel - can’t beat the beach proximity and price!
