"Let’s start with the hotel itself, it is stunning, tucked away but also walking distance from pretty much everything, the main lobby is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and easy to get to. The room - It was one of the courtyard rooms, it was spacious, clean, well-appointed and the bed was wonderful, the courtyard is accessible from the room itself through some French doors and very private, it has a good sized TV and the bathroom was wonderful, they give you good quality loo paper (Yes, that’s more important than you think.) Tea and coffee with a coffee machine and the room even had a radio. All in all, 10/10. The Bar – It is a small personal bar, but there are lounges to relax so plenty of space even though it feels personal, a huge selection of drinks and cocktails to choose from and expertly put together and severed by staff that know what they are doing, we will talk about them soon. The Restaurant – We had breakfast and 1 evening meal here, and the food was amazing, good quality and cooked to perfection, and excellent range to choose from, good portion sizes and served quickly without being rushed. "Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, and although the bathroom seemed a little worn it was very clean. Breakfast was ok. The rooms we had were an upgrade from the ones we booked, I think. The hotel was situated in a lovely area, with walking available along the river and the canal, and a couple of villages close by, containing decent pubs and restaurants. I would stay there again."

"Lovely hotel, Some staff very welcoming - the bar man and the waiter at breakfast went above and beyond. The room however was very warm and we could not get the air conditioning to work - even with the window open it was unbearable. The bathroom sink was a bit limescaley for my liking in what is classed as a high quality hotel. Overall the stay was lovely"

"Kaycee (unsure of spelling) was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful, worth having, and the fresh fruit was beautiful. Nice atmosphere, though the lovely classical music was cut off mid breakfast twice. Maybe after breakfast would be better time to change the music. Access to the room with the terrace was terrible; I suggest leading people across the lawn instead of past the untidy wood pile and down the rustic but uneven steps. Or through the back gate on the road instead, especially if they have large luggage. It was a great room though. Great location, lovely 15/20 minute walk to Bath centre but not much else nearby. Would recommend and stay again."

"Everything was perfect. Location, service, room, cleanliness, breakfast. Everything was perfect!!! 10 out of 10! To be a 1000, it would only need a mini-fridge in the room. But it didn't compromise the experience at all. Sensational!"
