「A very warm welcome from Caroline to a beautiful house overlooking the surrounding countryside and near the church. Clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities in the room (plus bonus cake - always welcome!) and a great breakfast selection. It was particularly nice to have the option of pancakes in addition to the usual full English or cereals, pastry and yoghurt. Walking distance to Innstow restaurants.」

「A small newly renovated room . Comfortable bed. Lovely indoor pool but very busy , they need to introduce swimming times. Did not try outdoor pool as weather not brill . Need a lift . 」

「The setting of this BnB is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was perfect nothing fancy just exactly what you need, we specifically enjoyed the homemade rhubarb compote! The room was part of a converted barn and really cosy. The host was lovely. 」

「A lovely find hidden away off the main street. We only booked the room an hour before arriving but were made to feel very welcome by the young lady behind the bar. Breakfast was cooked by Phil and was delicious and he came out and had a lovely chat with us. I would highly recommend. 」

「What a fantastic place! Really close to the beach, indoor pool and other great (free) activities for the kids (table tennis, badminton, etc). Staff also very friendly, and food in the restaurant was really good.」

「Looked ok in reception but that’s as good as it got , very out dated and not a great deal worked in the room . Very nearly boiled the kettle for a coffee in the morning before looking in it . Never seen anything like that before . When reeling off the stuff wrong with the room the staff were not bothered at all . Was charged £130 for the night and wouldn’t have paid £30 if I had a choice .」

「We had previously eaten at this hotel and were so impressed that we decided pay another visit and stay the night. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. 「Quiet and clean, with a simple Check-In and Check-Out process. Plenty of parking even for large vehicles, and spacious rooms. Great shower and heating kept us warm during a rainy week. Easy route to get to Woolacombe beach.」

「Conveniently located ,my room was clean and modern. Breakfast was good. My only gripe was that although it is common with hotel chains for breakfast to be extra, when staying in a Bed & Breakfast I expect Breakfast to be included in the price when booking and not as an extra. The sign above the door says Bed &Breakfast and that’s what I expect when I book.」
