"The room was modern and design, very practical with plenty of space. although a bit tricky to configure, the Air conditioned worked very smoothly. Breakfast was incredible with a large variety of fresh food. The swimming pool was also a nice addition after a hot day, very clean and agreable. this is real 4 stars hotel, very good value."

"We had a wonderful stay at Occidental Atenea Mar. The rooms were clean, and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The gym and rooftop pool area were great. The breakfast buffet was excellent and they were very accommodating to dietary restrictions. The location was excellent for us, about a block from the beach and quieter than the more central parts of Barcelona. Despite not being in the city center, it was still very easy to get to the main attractions, with bus stops and metros a short walk away. It was also pretty easy to get a taxi right from the hotel. Overall, we cannot recommend this place enough and hope to come back soon!!"

"Staff was amazing. Quick with responses prior to arrival and when we had a couple of random issues occur during our stay. Top notch service. Slight issue for me with some cleanliness of the room, but it wasn't unbearable or a deal breaker. Just used some of my disinfecting wipes and took care of it. Bed was comfortable although the blanket always made me hot no matter what. The room size was perfect and it had an amazing sea view. The kitchen was supplied with enough dishes and utensils for us to use. I loved that there was a washing machine as we had to use it. If you can afford a sea view, it's worth every cent. The area is nice, quiet, and very quick access to the beach. I wish the pool had lounge chairs to use because the deck was scorching hot. It would also be nice to have pool towels to use instead of what they provide for showers. As far as location, it is about 20-30 mins away from most of the attractions we did, but it's a quick taxi ride. We didn't utilize public transportation so I don't know how quick that would be to use instead. If you feel up to walking, it's a treck but you get to see the non tourist stuff. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend to everyone and I would stay again."
