「When we first arrived it was clear the hotel was very old and not taken care of, perhaps even closed for a period of time as there was a flag that showed "opened" and under new management. The lobby had ceramic tile with very little seating and cold materials/feel. There was obvious construction, with dry wall dust, towels on the floor in several places to clean something up and just left there. 「Paul and his staff couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful! Lovely old stately home converted to BnB, with delightful breakfast next day. The suites are large and very comfortable and just dripping with classic furnishings appropriate to a late 19th century stately home.」

「The property is very convient to the area resteraunts and stores. It is alos conveinient to the sunshine Fairgrounds. The staff were super helpful and friendly. My room needed minor maintainance while I was there and that was done immediately with no fuss. The only issue I had was that the rooms could use a " facelift". Also the coffee machine in the breakfast area makes terrible coffee. There's a machine in the room however, which makes great coffe, you just need to get cream and sugar...

「It was kind of scary when I drove up, but the hippie at the desk was friendly and helpful. The lobby, stairs, and hall were kind of shabby, but clean. The room itself was FAR exceeded my expectations. It was clean, everything worked, bed, bedding, towels and pillows were all of good quality, and comfortable. I didn’t look at the breakfast on offer, so I have no opinion on that. Overall I would stay there again. Don’t judge a book by the cover.」
