「Clean, lovely people , easy parking 」

「Atmospheric quirky hotel. Retains convent feel. Nice staff; good restaurant at night. Note it doesn’t do breakfast but good cafe nearby. No reception before noon. Good base for Bilbao - on commuter line to central station , one hour trip with regular trains .」

「Easy parking. Remember this is an efficiency so nothing but the essentials: clean sheets, towels, toilet and shower. I suggest asking for a room at the back as it can get noisy out front! The breakfast is great so take the breakfast. Finding a sitdown restaurant within walking which is open before 8pm is tough. Locals are quite reserved like Parissians!」

「Despite turning up in biker gear I was welcomed warmly by the lady on reception. The breakfast options were explained and I went to the room. The room was clean and had a good array of bits and pieces, 2 small waters, dental care kit etc, a hairdryer with additional bits I don’t know the use for being A; male and B; bald. 「Mooi historidch en gerenoveerd pand dicht bij de snelweg, zonder hinder te ondervinden van dese snelweg. Vriendelijk personeel en onze hond was heel welkom. Kamers zijn brandschoon en de hele accommodatie ruikt lekker. Electrische oplader voor auto is gratis, maar wel erg traag. 」

「Beautiful decor, lovely view, large room which was very clean. Very small carpark with difficult entry/exit angle as well. Very hard mattress and pillows made for a rough sleep. At night, a lot of noise and smoke from downstairs. Air conditioner wasn't working, and spa bath didn't work either. Overall, a reasonable price for our stay, but disappointing as from the listing I'd expected more of a luxury escape.」
