The first time was a very slow check-in, despite having filled in the online pre-check-in document and no queue and there was also a huge slow moving queue for check-out the next day. "El Convento is an absolute gem. Nestled behind the unassuming exterior walls is a quaint sanctuary and perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Antigua. The staff was attentive, and maintenance/cleaning was ongoing and evident as the grounds are immaculate. Suite 8 was incredibly spacious, and the outdoor garden patio with jacuzzi was lovely.
