I loved the fact that the property had a very colonial feel/sight to it. The property was within walking distance of the famous Arch, City Center, and restaurants. The area was quite safe, and guests really got a feel for what it must have felt like to live there during the Spanish invasion of Guatemala.

The staff and location were lovely. My room was very dark with no windows except for the noisy courtyard. The floor was so dirty that when I stepped on the white bathmat after being freshly showered and walking around the room left dirty foot prints.

A delightful discovery in Antigua
We travel to Guatemala frequently and almost always make a stop in Antigua. Casa Buena Vista is one of the best hotels we've found. We would love to stay again!

Comfortable stay
Our stay was very nice and comfortable. The shower was very nice and the place was quiet. The bed was very comfortable for sleeping in. However, the room got hot and stuffy easily and the wifi did not work the best.

Lovely, clean hotel in great location
Very cute hotel with a friendly, accommodating staff. Location of property is excellent. The breakfast is lovely and served in a pleasantly decorated room. Towels and sheets were very clean and when we asked for extras, they were quickly provided. The bathroom of our double room had a great shower with plenty of hot water for showers, however, there is very little room to get ready, do your hair,put on make-up etc.. some of the othe rooms do have larger bathrooms. I did miss having a fireplace in our room as this is a common feature in many hotels in Antigua. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again myself.

This hotel was perfectly located in the center of the city. It is a beautiful property. The staff was extremely pleasant. There were always bottles of water in our room. The only downfall was the acoustics. Every conversation was echoed throughout the building. There were couches right outside our bedroom window. When people were hanging out there it was very loud in our room even with the door closed. We were in room 7. Another room would probably be better. The view from the top was exquisite.

Great customer servive, great family feel, perfect location, beautifully decorated. Only drawback is the small bathroom. Also, be aware that windows open to inner courtyard so you do hear noise. Wasn't a problem for us as all the guest were considerate and in their rooms by 10pm

Wonderful stay!
The hotel was great. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. The rooms and common areas were very well maintained. The location was perfect for us. The breakfasts were on time an delicious!

Casa Buena Vista is a quaint, small hotel in perfect conditions. Our room (and the entire hotel) was super clean and cozy. We greatly enjoyed the internal courtyard and the wonderful terrace where we spent every evening. Location is also great, walking distance from literally everything.Our experience was wonderful. We were treated like royalty. We cannot recommend this Hotel enough!

Made our vacation a great one
My wife, son and I just came back from a two week trip to Guatemala. We stayed all two weeks at the Case Buena Vista and it was the best decision that we made. This cozy, beautiful, well maintained hotel was such a pleasure to be at. What tops that is the excellent service that we received from the friendly staff that were so eager to assist at any time. They helped us with whatever we needed and answered all our questions. The daily breakfast is served to order and in a room next to the kitchen with five tables. Although the choices are limited to either the traditional eggs, beans, cheese and fried plantains or the pancake and fruits platter, it was something that we looked forward to it and enjoyed. Both are served with coffee and juice. Eggs are cooked to order the way you like. I had mine over medium and they came perfect every time. There is always someone at the front desk and the gates are locked at all times. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. They strive very hard to deliver on their vision and mission statement. I can't say enough about this hotel and its staff because they really made our vacation a wonderful one. Thank you for your hospitality

Great hotel at the best location in Antigua
Exceptional hotel and staff and three choices for a gourmet breakfast included. The front desk manager Miguel was superb, always helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended hotel!!

A beautiful centrally located small hotel
My husband and I stayed a week at Casa Buena Vista. The hotel could not have been better. I was studying Spanish and my husband was very comfortable being in the hotel during the mornings when I was gone. It is a beautifully renovated and decorated family home of a Guatemalan family who own and operate it as a hotel. There are lovely common areas--a living room, patios on the lower level and a roof-top patio with views. It is very secure and quiet. There is 24 hour staff. The staff are very helpful. Migel, who speaks English, is there from about 7:00 pm until 10:00 am. It is about 1 block from La Merced and about 6 blocks from El Centro.
It was a pleasure to be able to attend to you, Mrs. Sue, we hope you will visit us in January ... greetings to Mr. Philip ... thank you for your comment and qualification ...

Lovely, quaint hotel with great atmosphere.
My friend and I booked for 3 nights at this hotel. It was a lovely stay. Miguel, the manager, was very friendly and helpful, we had good Internet service and our room was quiet and spotlessly clean. There are several really nice places to sit and relax within the hotel. The boutique hotel is in a terrific location where you can easily walk to all the sites and amazing restaurants. Ladies, leave your high heels at home because the cobble stone streets are murder to walk on.

Clean and Quiet with Great Service
Great stay, love the rooftop and it's easy to talk to everything from here. Nice to be a little outside the centre. Service was incredibly friendly.

Quiet hotel
The staff members were friendly and helpful. Everything was walking distance. We booked a tour to Pacaya and the tour bus picked and dropped us off at the hotel.

Great location very safe hotel staff very friendly
It's a convertade home very quaint rooms are very clean beds are very comfortable the front is gated very safe staff keeps it locked but there is always someone there to let you in and out 24hrs staff will bend over backwards to make sure you're comfortable and satisfied

Es un hotel muy bonito, excelente ubicacion. No pude probar el desayuno, las camas son muy buenas, la television se resetea y regresa al menu principal. Es raro el tema que tiene ventanas al pasillo principal porque tienes que mantenerlas cerradas o la gente pasa y ve tu habitacion. Como la mayoria de los hoteles de Antigua, no tiene estacionamiento. El baño me consta que era muy limpio, tenia un fresco olor a cloro que no dejaba dudas. Todo ben en general.

Hotel Promedio a Bueno.
Hotel esta nuevo, y en muy buen estado. El hotel es muy limpio, y el servicio de la gente es impecable. El desayuno me encanto. El cuarto es comodo, aunque el baño es demasiado pequeño. No hay donde colocar articulos personales de aseo. El estacionamiento fue una pesadilla ya que nos dirijieron a un lote donde el encargado era sospechoso y no nos dio mucha confianza. Finalmente, la calle en frente del hotel a veces tiene mucho traffico. Aparte de eso, le diera una calificacion promedio al hotel.

Precioso , bien ubicado,la mejor atención! Cerca del centro pero silencioso Desde el techo se pueden ver los volcanes y la arquitectura : una maravilla! Un endroit paisible au centre d'Antigua
La Casa Buena Vista est un très jolie endroit, décoré et agencé avec soins. Le personnel est très sympatique et dévoué. La chambre est joliment décoré avec les produits issus des ateliers de la région et d'Antigua. Il n'y a pas la climatisation (mais des ventilateurs) mais pas de problème de chaleur en plein mois de juillet. Il y a pas mal de boutiques autours pour acheter de quoi dépanner. L'église est à deux pas, tout comme les premiers lieux touristiques d'intérêt et les les premiers restaurants. Le parque central est à moins de 8 min à pied, 10min avec les valises (il faut savoir que si vous venez de la capital ou de Coban, on vous déposera surement au parc central). Nous y avons passé un très bon moment. merci encore pour tout. A oui, le wifi est aussi gratuit et de bonne facture pour les technophiles et adepte de photo-phone comme moi.

Romántico y festivo
El único problema fue que no cuenta con parqueo en la propiedad pero su atento personal lo solucionó rápidamente.
Muchas gracias por su comentario y observación, lamentamos mucho no contar con parqueo dentro de la propiedad pero como usted sabe la arquitectura de las casas en Antigua G en si mayoría no se presta a tener con un parqueo amplio... por eso contamos con un parqueo a 150 mts del hotel. Esperamos que su estancia haya sido agradable y que ns vuelva a vistar...
