"There was one young woman and one young man working during our stay. The young woman seemed careless and was not very friendly. In contrast, the young man, who had been there for a while, was extremely friendly, respectful, and provided excellent customer service. The hotel was very clean and felt safe. We used the swimming pool, and everything was well maintained. The breakfast was good, and the lady attending the breakfast area was very kind and kept everything clean and well stocked. I really appreciated the excellent service and would definitely stay here again."

"Was worth it for the money. Front desk staff was extremely nice. Updating the lobby area and was a work in progress but wasn’t intrusive or obvious. Breakfast was great. Room was clean and having two queens (vs doubles) was appreciated. Very convenient location. Great for a quick overnight stay and would do so again."

"I checked out around 10:30 give or take. At approximately noon I figured out I had left my wallet in the hotel room. I immediately called the front desk and explained to the gentleman who answered my problem. He asked me to hold and he would ask housekeeping. After a couple minutes he told me that yes my wallet was in the room along with a white plastic bag with chargers and some medicine. I asked him to please secure it and I would pick it up in 3 days on my way back through Ocala. I was so thankful that the employees were honest. They were also very accommodating to hold my “life” in my wallet. I retrieved it on Monday and my wallet and the contents of my plastic shopping bag were all intact. I applaud this Howard Johnson for all the employees who chose honesty! It is rare these days. I would definitely stay here again."
