"Staff don’t speak English bathroom only on the first floor we were staying at the 4th and no dinner and no breakfast available. Good for a step only one night before Kyoto. "
"The rooms were tiny. My wife and I had to coordinate to open our suitcases. There was basically just a bed and a tiny amount of space around it. It certainly didn’t feel like 140 square feet.
On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was very nice."

The location is good, far from any noise but close enough to walk to the main area and nishiki market. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable. For solo travelers its very spacious.
