「Not great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old.」

「The Dakota is a fabulous place to stay! I truly did not want to leave the hotel. The hotel is new and it is beautifully decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room was comfortable and cozy. Unfortunately, we did get a chance to dine at the hotel. We did however have a cocktail and snacks. They were perfectly made and delicious. I would recommend to anyone a stay at The Dakota. 」

「Stayed here for 2 nights in a balcony room, lovely view of the river & very nice that we could sit outside. We had gone for my partners birthday & a lovely bottle of fizz was left for us to enjoy. 「We booked this as a large group and it didn't disappoint. The apartments were well laid out with ample space in the living room areas. There was great cleanliness throughout and areas stayed at a nice temperature. The accomodation was really quiet at night and the key system although awkward at first was easier than keys. The location was also great with a short tram or 20min walk into town. Only small gripes are that we would have liked more utensils/ crockery, it would also be nice if there...

「The rosemary suite was ideal for 2 couples. Really spacious with super king beds and both en suite. Shower had great water pressure too! All the staff were absolutely lovely, and couldnt be more helpful when i was struggling with bags and a baby! 」

「The hotel is easy to find, and ideally located for visiting Beamish Museum. It is very attractive, and the bar and restaurant areas have great views westwards over the valley. Each ground floor room has its own car parking slot - wonderful! The staff are friendly and helpful, and a small bonus for me, the malt whisky is cheaper than the pub down the road .... I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area, there was nothing I did not like.」
