Great central location, walking distance to everything, charming property. Typical narrow, steep staircase expected in a building of this age and in this location. Great staff. The restaurant downstairs is spectacular.

Personnel exceptionnel et très gentil. Chambre petite avec de l’humidité. Très bien situé pour découvrir la vieille ville et moins de 15 minutes de la gare! Un peu bruyant la nuit puisque quartier vivant et bohèmes.

The stairs were so steep it was ridiculous. Staff had to carry our bags to and from our room. No minibar. Room was in the attic, very little headroom over the bed. Not great considering what the room had cost. Staff were very friendly though.

This hotel was in the most lovely neighbourhood, surrounded by cute shops and cafes, and right near the most scenic bridges and canal views. The restaurant underneath the hotel was amazing, I had such a wonderful meal there! All of the staff at Hotel Callisto were so kind, friendly and lovely. I loved my stay so much!

Truly a wonderful stay in a convenient area! It’s not packed with tourists, but still has foot traffic. I booked the Standard Double Room and I felt like that was the perfect size for a solo stay. I stayed in Room 4, which was one flight up. Staff brought up my luggage up and the room had space to walk around. Lots of boutiques and small casual food spots nearby. Any questions for the staff is communicated through their online system - it’s the same staff for their restaurant downstairs. The hotel provides all toiletries besides shower gel. They even give coffee + pastry vouchers for the very delicious cafe across the street, and coffee, tea, and an electric kettle is available for use in the room. Only downside is that the shower splashes water in the bathroom and may leave a puddle, but it’s still manageable. I’d definitely stay here again when I return!

We were disappointed with our stay, especially given the hotel’s 9+ Expedia rating and the excellent reviews. The room did not look like the photos and was very dated, with mismatched older furniture, worn carpet, and mould in the bathroom. We also found hair on my partner’s socks which was not mine. The location is good and the price was reasonable, and the staff member who helped us was pleasant and responsive. However, we seriously considered leaving after seeing the room and unfortunately would not stay here again. The hotel may work for some travellers, but our experience did not match the expectations set by the ratings and photos.
