"My husband I and our daughter booked this hotel online to go see the NY Islanders the weekend of April 11th and 12th We chose this hotel due to it being close to the arena and stating online it’s a 13 minute walk. Upon arriving to the hotel it looks nothing like the pictures and it is not really safe to walk to the arena unless you want to cross highways, etc. Upon arriving, the clerk at the desk would not even acknowledge us. She was on a facetime or a phone call on speaker because she continued her conversation with this person the entire time. I said we are checking in. The response I got was ID. Then waiting for minutes while she continued her conversation. Then asked you have a car – fill this out this card. Then hands us a room key with the number. The entire time she is in a full blown conversation. Upon entering the room, the smell of cigarette smoke was terrible. We booked a non smoking room but you can tell that the smoke smell was embedded in the room. It was so bad we knew there was no way we could stay 2 nights. My husband went to front desk to ask if we could cancel the room for Sunday night. We were denied any refund. After going to dinner there a male clerk sprayed the room for us but it did nothing. We got up the next day and left as soon as we could drove home 3 hours after the night game and took showers as the smell was in our hair, etc. The next day I had to wash everything in the suitcases and air them out!"

"Overall, the hotel was good, but not great. Our stay was two nights, and we were able to rest well. The service at the front desk was not consistent. It really depended on who was working. The morning staff were professional, courteous, and went above and beyond. The evening and night staff were just okay. Room cleanliness was also average. We stayed in a junior suite. The bed was comfortable, and the space was larger than expected, which was a nice surprise. However, the bathroom was not cleaned properly. There was hair and soap scum still in the bathtub. The bathroom trash can was rusted, and the shower head was, too. Breakfast was not included with our booking, so I can't speak to the quality or experience of the breakfast. For a Hilton hotel, these are straightforward and relatively inexpensive issues that should be addressed."

"Price is affordable for Far Rockaway. However, the room I booked, became more evident that it was or is a smoking room... not because of visible ashtrays, but slight lingering odor + physical/ respiratory discomfort over the coure of (1) night. I am a swimmer, with strong lung capacity & don't get sick. I felt a mild tickle in my throat the evening I checked in... which became a full cough throughout the night & following morning. I would not have woken up coughing with just mild fatigue. Also, the staff/hotel will not watch any* bag, no matter how big or small, for those looking to be in the neighborhood after check out. Other note: v old A/C that within seconds of turning on, proceeds to make loud, noisy rattling sound for v long periods-- would be upsetting to anyone. I ent here to explore possible repeat visits-- no, this is just a place to sleep/shower 1x."

"This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The entire place felt cold and sterile, and the check-in experience was honestly off-putting—the front desk attendant was visibly picking his nose while handing me my room key, which set the tone right away. Parking was a nightmare. There are essentially no spots available despite the number of rooms, so be prepared to scramble or park far away. The room itself offered zero comfort. The walls were paper-thin—I could hear my neighbors clearly all night long, making it nearly impossible to sleep. Overall, between the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and constant noise, I would not recommend staying here."

"Make long story short. I stayed at The Hilton for 2 nights. My room temperature was between 81 to 78 F whole time. Because it’s old buildings. They switched back to AC from Heat during heatwave in NY. They asked me to open the window, however it designed to open about 2-3 inches. They told me that they will find an electrical fan, never happen. We all have known the heatwave came from news sauces. It came three days before the day I checked in. But Hilton switched back to AC the day I checked in. I don’t know why they didn’t start turning on AC before the heatwave came. Not only my room but also whole building and guest rooms were hot. I was not very happy to work in my room and I had sweat all the time. Technicians are working hard for maintenance, and thy honesty told me that room temperature will not go down under 77 degrees for 4-5 days. I would like to make a complaint to management office. ."
