Top Amberley Working Museum Hotel Reviews
Comfort Inn Arundel
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely large sized family room. Completely clean & good quality linen. Really quiet, despite road location. Copious tea & coffee supplies too, no rushing to get another tea bag if it split with the silly string thing. Double bed was soft but supportive, the pillows the same. The extra single was an actual bed & not a roll away/sofa bed which removed any moaning from the mini one. Moaning also reduced with having an actual bath, not just a shower. Small wins which made our stay really pleasant. Plus the staff were really welcoming, polite, kind & helpful. Everyone won, would stay again."
The Swan
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish. The room was brilliant - comfy bed, spacious bathroom and lovely touches with the coffee machine, guide book and homemade biscuits. Would stay here again when visiting Arundel."
Arden House
10/10 Excellent
"This was our first time visiting Arden House and we are so glad we went. Lucie was a fantastic host and gave us a lovely welcome. We stayed at room 3 on the ground at the back of the property, and the room was brilliant. It was immaculately clean, bright and airy with two lovely big bay windows. It had a great en-suite toilet, basin and shower with towels, complimentary shower gel, slippers and dressing gown. There was tea and coffee making facilities/kettle cups etc. and two bottles of water and glasses which was a real bonus during the night. The entire house was really lovely and big, as was the dining room. Breakfast was a huge spread of a number of different fruit, cereals, nuts, yoghurts, oats, homemade cake, orange and cranberry juice, James, peanut butter, marmite, babybel cheeses and Luice made us a boiled egg and toast, with freshly made cafetiere coffee and tea to drink. Free off road parking, free wi-fi, a TV (which we didn't need as we were out so much), a large electric fan in the room and a hairdryer, two chairs and foot rest. We highly recommend this B&B for a great stay, so close to the centre of town and the castle. Brilliant value for money and we would definitely go back again. Thank you Lucie, I'm sure we will be back again"
House Arundel
10/10 Excellent
"We had a very pleasant two-night stay thanks to being made to feel so welcome by our hosts, Rosie and James. Contact beforehand was great with a super demo video on how to enter the hotel. Rosie was a lovely host; her local recommendations were top-notch and truly made our trip. It happened to be very hot while we were visiting, so having a fan provided in the room was a thoughtful touch that was very much appreciated! The hotel has a lovely communal area at the entrance where complementary tea, coffee and water are available. There is an honesty bar (with a very handy fridge for water and milk). The bedrooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, all differently decorated and furnished in a classic but modern style. We particularly liked the night-light in the bathroom and the availability of a small thermal flask for fresh milk in the room! The location is absolutely perfect—a twelve minute walk from the station with a host of cafes, pubs and restaurants within a five minute radius. We tried both cafes where we could use our breakfast vouchers, which was fun and although different we enjoyed both! Lovely place - highly recommended."
Amberley Castle
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely stay. Very nice superior room with great views and exposed beams, Excellent staff, polite, cheerful and attentive and superb food, compliments to the chef . A few minor problems with the room ie surfaces and appliances dusty, broken blind, torn lampshade etc, could do with a small fridge to keep milk and water cool, also a little suprised that there was no door on the bathroom/toilet area, open to the bedroom. Needless to say it didn’t detract from a most enjoyable stay."
The Town House Restaurant with Rooms
8/10 Good
"Was a self check-in and check-out process. Has only just re-opened and they are clearly getting up to speed. Was a tuesday night and no restaurant open, but plenty of options in Arundel. Bed comfy and decent amenities."
The Labouring Man
8/10 Good
"Liked because, being a single woman there, the staff were friendly and helpful, the property was clean and the food was good, and I felt safe."
The White Swan
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent stay - friendly staff all members I met including the ladies who do the cleaning are polite and helpful…clean rooms always freshen up when your out for the day, only negative would be breakfast didn’t have fresh fruit option and toast was pretty basic not much choice"
The Sportsman Inn
10/10 Excellent
"This is a real gem. Lovely building, and one of the best views from the beer garden in England. Great mix of friendly locals and other travellers, a well staffed kitchen, bar and restaurant. Great for Goodwood Motor Circuit too."
