"We stayed at The Barfield for the first time this past Sunday night to break up our drive from Dallas to Angel Fire, NM and really enjoyed the comfort and style of this beautiful hotel. All of the staff we encountered were wonderful and the room is very modern and comfortable. We enjoyed it so much that we are considering staying there on our way back."

Started our Rt 66 Trip. The Cadillac Ranch and The Big Texan Restaurant are a must do!! Buy paint ahead and take with you for the cadillacs. I took a brush and small can but most spray paint. Eat the fillet at the ranch and get pie for dessert.

I came to Amarillo for hiking in the Palo Duro Canyon and the Cadillac Ranch which did not disappoint but I also enjoyed taking in Historic Downtown Route 66 and Big Texan Steak Ranch - all in a weekend.
