Enjoy the comfort!

Amble at Hahndorf was a wonderful experience. Our accommodation was spacious and very well-appointed with king size bed and spa bath. All our needs were catered for and even minor issues were addressed in a speedy manner. It’s location is ideal for exploring the main street.

Nice stay while touring the wineries.

Had a 6 night stay here. The accomadation was b and b but with your own self contained unit. Vanessa was very friendly she spent plenty of time showing us through the unit. The unit was quiet, warm and very comfortable, lovely to return too after a day out touring around. The unit has plenty of cooking and kitchen articles. We were more than happy.

Very nice place to stay

We stayed in the Wren Cottage for two nights in May . The area is very quiet, on a side street but just a few minute walk away from Hahndorf's attractions. The cottage is an attachement to the two storey building so we had all that area to ourselves. In front of the cottage there are a lot of trees and bushes (which can be enjoyed from verandah in warmer days); and there is a paddock at the back with green grass, sheep and occasional kangaroo. Bird lovers can enjoy variety of parrots flocking to the area around the cottage every morning. The cottage inside is very cosy, clean, with very good bedding and equipped with everything you may need. Huge thanks to our hostess Vanessa for very warm welcome and providing complete information about the cottage and places to visit in Hahndorf . It was very enjoyable experience overall; definitely can be recommended.

Despite the need to be ambulant this is a great place to stay. Beautiful gardens visited by many birds. Cute cottage at the end of an up and down path. Plentiful breakfast provisions. Attentive and caring hostess, not invasive but available

Great location in Hahndorf

Lovely comfortable room with beautiful linen and gorgeous soft throw rugs, perfectly warm on a freezing night. Excellent location, nice to have to walk in the quiet street before hitting the main road. Only downfall was the shower head was a bit small and my shower went cold when I had shampoo in, think the next door room was using their shower at the same time? But bath water was hot thankfully so used that instead.

Have stayed before with previous owners . lacking the the finer details this time .Not as clean no brekky included in o/ n stay had to pay extra ,no little box of locally made chocolates ,no fresh flowers , no percolated coffee to use in plunger ..... Sorry to say just lacking the details The owner herself was very accomodating & pleasant

Great escape from city

I very much enjoyed my stay. Amble Over is a large sized apartment suitable for a long stay. It was a bit like living in a tree house with beautiful views/trees all around. Bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed seeing all of the native birds out the back. The hosts go out of their way to make the guests feel welcome, but I appreciated the fact that breakfasts could be made in the room. Roger very helpful in getting me to and from the city for a pre-booked event during my stay. Suggest contacting him in advance if you have transport or tour needs.

Much needed relaxing getaway in beautiful gardens.

Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful room, lovely views and a short walk to the middle of everything. Our hosts were excellent: gave us clear directions about how to get there late at night after our planes were delayed, and even offered to collect us from the airport. And when we arrived everything was ready for us to come in, relax and unwind - including an excellent selection of Teas and Coffee, some tasty local treats, and some much appreciated local Port. Having the 'breakfast basket' already in the room made it very easy to have a relaxing breakfast at the time that suited us - and after a late arrival the night before, with the peace and quiet, we'd slept through much of the morning! And when we did open the curtains, the views across the fields were only interrupted by lots of colourful galahs, lorikeets and other birds.
