North Pender Island 3 Stars Hotels

"We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well equipped our room - suite, actually - was. Front desk staff were very friendly. Our only issue was an initial lack of parking behind the hotel; we were driving a truck with a boat on top so could not use the underground parking. We were able to move our truck off the street after a couple of hours."

"The person who checked me in was on a phone call, didn’t hang up just put his cell phone down. Rushed me, didn’t give me the correct info. Treated me like an inconvenience to his phone call. As a result I wasn’t made aware of an extra fee. The person I spoke to in the morning was combative and not very accommodating until I explained my experience. The mattress was expired, it was sagging and damaged, so I woke up with a headache and bad back. The breakfast is painfully early. It should be until 10 am at least. "

"Room photos on expedia showed a room that had been nicely renovated but our room was one that clearly hadn't been done yet. Place didn't seem full so I'm guessing not very many rooms look like the pictures. There is a pretty big difference between the room we got and the pictures they show so it's hard not to feel a bit deceived. Sound proofing is lacking so we could hear car doors slamming for most of the night. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Location is close to local amenities but isn't in a great part of town. They do have lots of security cameras and the main parking area is well lit so it seemed secure enough."
