"Absolutely incredible stay at the Bent Mountain Lodge! This spot is a hidden gem - the property has incredible views, beautiful lodging & gracious hosts. We were visiting Roanoke for the marathon and brought our 2 dogs. When we got to the race, we found out our pups had been barking (anxious to be in a new place alone). "Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Everything one would need in the kitchen. A little off the beaten path but for us that was a positive. "

"Well, for one, I was worried about sound as I could hear neighbors room outside our room. The noise disappeared inside our room. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound insulation. Friendly staff, the bartender was super friendly and personable. Tony was definitely a highlight of the stay. The front staff member was also very friendly. I think name was Ari. "

"The check-in was friendly and informative. The room was quiet and mostly clean but there was some damage to the sofa and a desk chair probably from a dog. We reported it. It was not that easy getting Wi-Fi but we finally got in. Never had that problem at any other Marriott. The breakfast was good."

"We had a relaxing stay at Peaks of Otter. We walked the lake, took the shuttle almost to the top of Sharp Top Mountain and then hiked the rest of the way up, sat by the lake in the evenings by the fire pit, read on our balcony which over looked the lake, and ate in the dining room for most meals. The staff were very attentive and accommodating, answered all our questions and were always willing to help. Room was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!"

"I liked the hotel overall. I did have some minor issues. The shower head connection squirted water at connection site and the cords for the window shade were broken so I was unable to raise or lower the window shade. Also, on the ground floor, the floor surface transition from the rug to tiled flooring was raised with a lip. I tripped and fell on the floor when my sneaker shoetip caught the lip."

"The beds were so uncomfortable. The bathroom door in the basement didn’t close. The wood shudder inside the house on the windows didn’t close fully. The house had an old smell and animal pee. I did one load of laundry and noticed plumbing was duct taped together and held up by yellow electrical wire and had negative fall.
