Downtown Burbank is not too far up the same street the hotel is on. We spent a morning their eating and walking. There is a mall at the end of the street with a movie theatre and ample stores.

It was centrally located for where we were going (Dodger Stadium, Universal Studio, and Griffith Observatory.) We found good local restaurants. Downtown had a good laid-back vibe.

Burbank has sealed off 2 blocks of N. San Fernando Blvd downtown to make a pedestrian-friendly shopping area. Lots of eateries and specialty shops. Very nice.

Very cool to be near a lot of major movie studios. i.e. Warner Bros and Universal Studios. Wasn't as dense as being in the LA area.

"Good option to stopover at LAX before continuing on to Hawaii. However, it took a while to figure out that their free airport shuttle only comes if you call the hotel, and getting through was a bit of a stress from a UK mobile"
